Macbook / snow leopard internal speaker issues solved

a few month ago, i have internal speaker problem (grey speaker with circle-dash on it),
i don't know the cause of it, so i decided to give to apple,
they say that my mainboard i dying and need to be replace for $400,

SO, if you have the problem from above, then this is it, the answer.
BUT!, before we move on, try checking this list first

you have a problem with this spec:
1. internal speaker is greyed out with circle and dash icon on it, and your speaker is muted permanently,(yes, i mean it).
2. your osx version is 10.6.4
3. it happen out of nothing, it just happen in an instant.
4. NO red light appear in the headphone hole
5. no output device detected in "preference-sound"
6. and you already do 'hardware check' and no problem
7. when you turn on your computer, you can still hear the "deeeeenngg...." sound, (or they say 'chimney')

if you don't get all the spec i tell you, then you should go for this solution:
- for number 4, if you get red light from your headphone hole, then you have no problem.
you can reinsert your jack in and out, until the light is off.
this is because the hole still recognize the jack.

- for number 6, if youe get problem with hardware check, then its a hardware, for my case it because of the driver.
you can check system profiler-hardware-audio for more information.

THIS IS THE ANSWER to answer the unanswered question, and even apple can't fix it, HA!
let me tell you a little bit of my strories:

last night i have reinstalled my mac to leopard, then upgrade to snow,
i felt happy with the welcome animation because i can hear sound,
but today when i finish updating 10.6.4, it greyed again,
SO now i know the problem, lucky me i don't repair for $400 lol, i can buy iphone with it.

the solution for this problem is actually DOWNGRADE it, to 10.6.3
actually, the downgrade solution is from http://appletoolbox.com/2010/06/what-to-do-if-you-have-problems-after-the-mac-os-x-10-6-4-update/
what i suggest it change back to leopard, but snow is nice, so downgrade it.

THAT's it GUYs, so tell me if this can solved your irritating problem. maybe i'll change to windows 7 later.
